One of the aims of the €65 million project was to turn a historic corner of Freiburg into a popular and urban downtown district. The urban development aspired to achieve a link between the existing building structure and big-city life.  Since opening in 2011, the new main building and the Solitaire office block have become a prominent feature in this district and bring a touch of "New York" flair. The buildings include a savings bank, several retail companies and fashion retailers as well as a supermarket. The two constructions are connected below ground by an underground garage.

H-BAU Technik produced a large quantity of PENTAFLEX KB® seam sheets, including Omega stirrups, as well as PENTAFLEX® expansion joint connectors for the project.
